JERRY RUTLEDGE Obituary
Jerry Rutledge, age 67 of Ocala, FL, died Nov. 24, 2011. Born in Lochloosa, FL, he spent his early adult life in Hawthorne, FL. He later moved to Ft. Lauderdale, FL and was employed by ILA (International Longshoreman Association) for 34 years, until he became disabled.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 33 years, Hazel Rutledge, Ocala, FL; 4 daughters, Kathy Welch, Atlanta, GA, Kimberly Bozeman, Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Nicole (Issac) Walters, Ocala, FL and Ciera Rutledge, Ft. Lauderdale, FL; a stepson, Andre Asbury, Las Vegas, Nevada; 4 sisters, Frances Davis and Laura Rutledge, both of Pompano Beach, FL, Mildred Lawson Betty Rutedge, both of Hawthorne, FL; 2 brothers, Bobby Rutledge and Willie Rutledge, both of Hawthorne; 9 grandchildren and a host of other relatives.
Viewing hours on Friday, Dec. 2, 2011 at PINKNEY-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 21400 SE HAWTHORNE RD, HAWTHORNE, FL, 5-7 p.m.. Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3, 2011 at Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church, Hawthorne, FL. Burial will be in Lochloosa Cemetery. The cortege will form at the home of his sister, Mildred Lawson of Hawthorne 1:15 p.m. Saturday.
