JOHNATHAN LEROY Obituary
Mr. JohNathan L. Leroy, age 38, passed away February 11th, 2017 at Shands Hospital at UF. He was a High School graduate, and attended Santa Fe Community College. JohNathan was a member of Compassionate Outreach Ministries. JohNathan was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Leroy, brother, Joseph Leroy, III, and his sister, Gladys Lavett Leroy.
He is survived by his children; JohNathan L. Leroy, Jr., Jinazha Leroy, both of Gainesville, FL; mother, Gloria Mitchell (Arnold), Gainesville, FL; former wife, Eve Shade; siblings, Lisa Eady, Lisa King, both of Jacksonville, FL, Mimi Jelks, Keisha Sumpter, both of Gainesville, FL.
Funeral Services for Mr. Leroy will be held, 11:00am, Saturday, February 25th, 2017 at Compassionate Outreach Ministries, Bishop Larry J. Dennison, Officiating; burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Chestnut Funeral Home, Inc., 18 N.W. 8th Avenue, Gainesville, Florida.
Mr. Leroy will repose in the Chestnut Memorial Chapel on Friday, February 24th, 2017 from 2:00pm until 7:00pm, and on Saturday at the Church from 10:00am until the hour of Service. Family and friends are asked to meet on Saturday at the home of his mother and step-father Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell, 3310 S.E. 19th Avenue, Gainesville, at 10:15am to form the Cortege.

My condolences to the family. I pray that you are surrounded with the peace & serenity needed to make it through this difficult time. It was so shocking to receive that call about my classmate's passing. I hadn't seen him in awhile. It was always a great time of reminiscing & laughs when I saw Jo. He would yell out my WHOLE NAME, no matter where he saw me. Jo's smile and laughter will truly be missed. Cherish those memories and always remember him. It definitely helps ease the pain of the loss.
