ROBINSON, JOSEPHINE A.

With deep sadness we announce the passing of our beloved, Josephine (Joanne) Anne Robinson, on October 29, 2011 in Grass Valley, CA after a courageous struggle with pulmonary disease.

Joanne was born December 15, 1935 and grew up in South Miami, Florida. She was a dedicated school teacher for nearly 40 years and taught school in Alachua County, Florida at High Springs Elementary and Santa Fe High School, retiring in 1996. Joanne deeply cared for the welfare of her students. In her retirement years she was able to live and spend much time at the beach which she loved with a passion. Some of her favorite pastimes were walking her beloved dog, Daisy, playing the mandolin, and spending time with her family and friends. She was compassionate, caring, and a great friend to so many people. Her loving kindness and beautiful smile will greatly be missed. Strong in faith, she is now at peace with the Lord.

In death, she is survived by her daughters, Lindsey Robinson and Laura Lewis; son-in-laws, Parker White and David Lewis; granddaughter, Abigail Lewis; sister, Margaret Thaler; brother-in-law, Ronnie Thaler; brother, Ralph Fossey; sister-in-law, Lynne Fossey; nieces, Julie Thaler, Leslie Gano, Wendie McCall, Jacque Fossey, and Cynthia Fossey; nephew, David Thaler, and Bill Clark her longtime friend. Joanne (mom) will be greatly missed by all who had the fortune to know her.

A Memorial Service will be held in Palm Coast, Florida.
