Loretta Bessent Hines

Hawthorne - Loretta Kay Bessent-Hines was born on June 04, 1959 to the proud parents of Hettie Lou Fountain, and Larcellious Bessent.

She attended Putman and Alachua County Schools were she completed her high school education at Hawthorne High School.

She accepted Christ at an early age as her Savior and was a member Prayer Band of Deliverance under the leadership of Reverend Prophet Brown and later joined New Hope United Methodist Church under the leadership of Reverend Eugene E. Herring Sr.

During her leisure Loretta enjoyed Family Gatherings, Fishing, and dancing.

She was employed at the Gainesville Nursing Home, and later worked for Alachua County Schools where she retired.

Her memories will be cherished by her husband Edward Hines (Hawthorne), and children and step children: Daughters: Reshonda Green- Evans (Greg), Fatima Bryant (Allen), two sons: William Tyrese Watson (Candi), Jeremy Gordon (Crystal), and three step sons: Maurice Hinson, Hurtis Hinson, and Edward Lee Hines all of Daytona Beach, Fl.

Her mother Hettie Lou Fountain, and her father who preceded her in death, Larcellious Bessent:

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Lloyd White, David Angelo Lock Sr., and one sister, Martha Ann Scott. She also leaves to mourn three sisters: Mary L. Pinkney (Nathaniel), Zemillar Laura Hayes, and Ellen Lock Thomas. Three brothers, Curtis James Bessent Sr.(Kimberly), Don Bessent, and Willie James Lock (Melissa). Step sister Phyllis Ann Ross, and step brothers, Leroy J. Ross (Voncile), Chester Ross(Carolyn), Tommy Ross (Bridgett), Jake Ross. two who proceeded her in death Clifford, and Ronald Ross

She leaves her sister and Bother -n-laws: Patricia Hines, Eyvonne Rogers (Eddie), Donald Coleman(Essie), Earl Kelly, Laundsy Williams (Junelle) all of Daytona Beach, Fl., Bashieba Hines of Hinesville, GA,

She also leaves to mourn 17 grandchildren with two preceding her in Death, 11 great-grands, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins

Graveside Services will be held 12 p.m. Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Gilgal Cemetery, Hawthorne, FL, Rev. Eugene Herring is officiating. Viewing on Friday 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. at the Funeral Home. PINKNEY-SMITH FUNERAL HOME OF HAWTHORNE.
