RENE TRUDEAU Obituary


TRUDEAU, RENE LEON
Rene Leon Trudeau died peacefully on June 7, 2015, at E.T. York Hospice Care Center, Gainesville, FL. He was born on March 18, 1945 in Pawtucket, RI to Aime Cerel Trudeau and Laurette Germaine (Ferland) Trudeau. He attended Tolman High School and enlisted in the United States Navy. He worked in the construction industry for many years and retired as a construction supervisor. His appreciation for fine woodworking can be seen in the pieces he created in his workshop for family and friends.
Rene married Jacqueline Alice (Carlson) Trudeau on August 25, 1965 in East Boston, MA. They raised their family together in Rhode Island and Florida. He is survived by his wife, two children: Rebecca Lynn Trudeau (Marion George McDilda) and Christopher Roy Trudeau and four grandchildren: Megan Renee McDilda, Garrett Miles McDilda, Zoe Katherine Trudeau and Natalie Carlson Trudeau. He is also survived by two sisters: Therese Marguerite (Trudeau) McQuesten (Richard McQuesten), Janet Agnes (Trudeau) Winters (William Winters) and two brothers: George Frank Trudeau, Sr. and Robert Joseph Trudeau (Dorothy Trudeau), along with many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister: Rita Germaine (Trudeau) Doyle (Vincent Doyle) and his brother-of-the-heart: James A. Murphy, Jr.
Private services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation to Haven Hospice (www.havenhospice.org) or a charity of your choice.
