BYRNE, RUBY PIGG, 89 Gainesville - Ruby Pigg Byrne, age 89, died on January 2, 2007, at Oak Hammock in Gainesville, Florida following a long illness. Survivors Include her husband, Edward G. Byrne, MO. of Gainesville, Florida; her daughter and son-In-law, Nancy Pigg Lopez and Julio Lopez, of LaVerne, California; her son and daughter-in-law, Morgan Pigg, Jr. and Nancy Steelman Pigg of Gainesville, Florida; her grandchildren, James C. (Jay) White, II, and his wife Lisa, of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, and Kelly Pigg and Casey Pigg of Gainesville, Florida; her great grandson, Sebastian Artemis White, of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania; her step-son, Stephen Byrne, of Gainesville, Florida; her step-daughter and son-in-law, Anne D. Byrne and Dudley Osborne, of Ocala, Florida; and her step-granddaughter, Tiffany Byrne, of Gainesville, Florida. She was preceded in death by her first husband of 54 years, Morgan Pigg. Born and raised in Lincoln County, Tennessee, Ruby worked for many years at Serbin Women's Wear Garment Factory. Ruby's interests included cooking, crafts, sewing, poetry, family genealogy, and spending time with her many friends. Ruby devoted her life to her family and friends, and she worshipped for most of her life at the Washington Street Church of Christ in Fayetteville, Tennessee.
