Emmanuel Holland Obituary
He was a student at the University of Georgia.
He is survived by his mother, Charlyne Jarrett-Holland of Gainesville; father, Emmanuel Jim Holland and stepmother, (Peggy) Dawson Holland of Banks County; brother, Anquon Cheeks of Gainesville; special sister, Amber Jarrett of Gwinnett; grandparents, Willie D. (Eulene-Jarrett) Barnett of Hall County, Annie Pearl Holland of Hall County, and Orndie Holland of Hall County; nephew, A'Jaiden Cheeks of Hall County; aunts, Cheryl (Lester) Harris of Hall County, Tanya Holland of Hall County, and A'Rhonda (Ken) Johnson of Statham; uncles, Perry (Sabrina) Jarrett of Hall County, Terry Jarrett of Hall County, and Anthony (Celestine) Winters of Hall County; he is also survived by his second special family, the Oakleys: Jesse, Jarrett, Willard, and Debbie; and also a host of cousins, family, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Clarence Jarrett and Marcus Winters; and uncle, Robert Holland.
The service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 30 at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Oakwood. The body will lie in state from 1:30 to 2 p.m. The Rev. Emerson Ross will be officiating. The family will receive friends Monday, June 29 at Memorial Park funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m.

To my sister-n-law and nephew Quon,
Perry and I love both of you so much. We will always be here for both of you. We loved Drew so much and was so proud of him. Thats one thing I always told him, was how proud I was of him. He was a beautiful person on the inside and out. He had the biggest heart and loved everybody. Drew was a very special person. I know that one day we will see him again.

I knew Drew for a long time. We went to UGA together. The one thing that I can say is that he had a big heart and that he always kept me laughing. We hung out together, went out and just talked about everything from friends to how stressful school was to just how we were glad that we were friends. Drew, I miss you, my heart goes out to your family.. I love you and know that you are in a better place!!! Sincerely

I only met Drew a few times. Although quiet in my presence since he didn't know me, he was always smiling. My daughter, Katie, thought the world of him. He was part of her inner circle of friends. She loved spending time with him and would often comment how when she saw him on the UGA campus they would wave to one another or go to lunch or just hang out together. She will miss him terribly but I know she will always treasure the time they had together.
We will keep your family in our thoughts and prayers and pray that the Lord will give you comfort and strength in the days, months and years ahead.

Jim my heart is saddened, because a good friend has lost a child. I don’t know the pain that you feel because I have not experience this, and I know this is a feeling no parent wishes to experience.
