Freddie Veal Obituary

Freddie Veal, 66, of Flowery Branch, passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at his residence following an extended illness.

Grave side services will be held on Monday, July 14, 2014 at 3 p.m. at the Memorial Park Cemetery with internment to follow. The Rev. Wayne Hicks will officiate. The family will receive friends on Monday, July 14, 2014 from 1-3 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Veal was born on Jan. 26, 1948 in Maysville to the late Paul Veal and Sue Chambers Veal. He was a retired truck driver from Pilot Trucking Company and was a member of New Haven Congregational Holiness Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Robbie Krueger; brother, Terry Veal.

Mr. Veal is survived by his wife, Shelby Veal of Flowery Branch; daughter, Lisa Veal Mobley of Lawrenceville; daughter and son-in-law, Kristi and Stephen Guthrie of Flowery Branch; sons and daughters-in-law, Troy and Debbie Cryus of Hamilton, Ohio, Todd and Sheri Cryus of Crestview, Fla.; 13 grandchildren including locally, Matthew Mobley, Morgan Mobley Johnson, Cape Guthrie, and Lillie Grace Guthrie; five great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Allene and Oadues Smith of Buford; brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Anne Veal of Gainesville; several nieces and nephews.

Memorial Park Funeral Home, 2030 Memorial Park Road, Gainesville, GA 30504 is in charge of arrangements.
