Harry Grant Nickerson, 78, of Gainesville, passed away Sunday July 10, 2022 at his residence, where he lived with his niece and nephew in law, Tracy and Steve Ledford, following a sudden illness.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
Mr. Nickerson was born November 27, 1943. He was the first son of the late Howard Grant Nickerson and Luella Mae Nickerson both of Gainesville, GA
Mr. Nickerson was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He served 2 tours in Vietnam. He also was a member of the United States Army Color Guard during his service in the Army.
In addition to his parents, Mr Nickerson was preceeded in death by his son, Michael Nickerson, Salt Lake City, UT, brother Gary Reed Nickerson, Alto, GA, sister, Sandra "Sandy" Kay Tapp, Gainesville, GA, brother in law, Ron McAtor, IL.
Mr Nickerson is survived by his sons, Peter Nickerson, Salt Lake City, UT, Anthony Nickerson, AZ, Jeffery Nickerson, AZ , brother Roger Dale Nickerson and Linda Nickerson, Sardis, GA, sister Vicki Lynn McArtor, IL, sister Valerie Jean Ellis, IL and a number of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, great great nieces and nephews.
