James Fowler Obituary

James David Fowler, age 85, of Lula, Georgia, passed away Friday, May 2nd, 2025.



Private services will be held at a later date.



James was born on June 5th, 1939 in Jackson County Georgia. His parents were John R. and Helen (Sims) Fowler.

James was husband to Betty L. Ramey for 63 years until her passing in 2023. They had four children together.

He was an autoworker at the GM assembly plant in Doraville, GA until his retirement in 1990. He was a jack of all trades in his retirement where he helped his children and others with construction and repairs and regardless of the outcome, he saw all his jobs to completion.



James was living in Thomasville, GA after his wife passed away in 2023.

He is survived by his four sons and their families. Mark and Reann of Jasper, GA; Scott and Penny of Lula, GA; Russell and Wanda of Cairo, GA; Chris and Jennifer of Alto, GA; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
