Laura Fay Irvin Vandiver Obituary
Survivors include her husband of 37 years, Russell Vandiver, Gainesville, son and daughter-in-law, Josh and Amanda Vandiver, Gainesville, grandchildren, Jackson and Taylor, sisters and brothers-in-law, Tracey (Irvin) and Lew Chandler, Corinth, N.Y., Marcia (Irvin) and Alex Bryan, Jefferson, niece, Katie and Ryan Glenn, West Palm Beach, Fla., nephew, Will Bryan, Atlanta, great-nephew and niece, Mason and Carson, West Palm Beach, Fla.
The visitation for Mrs. Vandiver will be held on Monday, Aug. 27, 2012, from 4-7 p.m. at the Blackshear Place Baptist Church.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2012, at 4 p.m. in the Blackshear Place Baptist Church, Flowery Branch, Ga., with Dr. Jeff Crook officiating. The burial will follow in the Talmo Baptist Church Cemetery with Ralph Atkinson, Les Johnson, Homer Myers, Frank Siple, Dean Stringer, Keith Moore, Mike Sample and Jeff Rice honored as pallbearers.
Those that prefer, make memorials to Laura's favorite charity, P.U.R.E. Ministries, a ministry of Zachariah's Way, P.O. Box 5565, Gainesville, GA 30504.

Russell you and your family are in my thought and prayers. But she has a brand new body now. And I know I will get to see her again on the other side. One day. And I just thank God that I got to be a part of her life and help her with things she needed help with. I just felt her and I bonded to each other the very first day ,and we sure had lots and lots of girl talks. And I truly enjoyed her. Again Russell GOD. BLESS. YOU. If u need anything. Russel, I was so sad when I heard of Laura's passing. She introduced me to Mexican food when we worked together. We saw each other at the coffee shop, she would run out and give me a hug. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. Shelia & Joe Miccoli

Dear Russell and family,
I was greatly saddened to learn of Laura's death--not for her but for you and her family. I REJOICE with her that she is in her Savior's presence. I've known Laura since she was an elementary student at North Jackson school and her years at CBM Camp. I am so glad I was able to be a tiny part of her life during those years. She and her parents remained my friends through the years. She was a dear friend. I look forward to being with her again when we are HOME! I wish that I could attend the visitation and funeral but I don't get around too well any more. My heart will be there with you.
