Mary Gray Obituary

Mary Katherine Gray, 90, of Gainesville was the daughter of Clarence and Amber Rausch. Mary was a homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She graduated from Central Missouri State College in Warrensburg, Missouri with a Bachelor of Science. Mary and her family lived in St. Joseph, Missouri; Omaha, Nebraska; Littleton, Colorado; Lilburn, Georgia; Irmo, South Carolina; Fort Mill, South Carolina; Memphis, Tennessee; Pensacola, Florida; and Gainesville (twice). Mary was loved by all who knew her. She liked to garden, was deeply religious and very involved in her church. Giving her time and attention to others was part of what made her special. Survivors include sons and daughters, Gary Gray, Blue Mountains, Ontario; Laura Gray, Gainesville, Georgia; David Gray, Flat Rock, North Carolina; Kathy Smith, Pensacola, Florida; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and her sister, Marge Strand of Forest Lake, Minnesota. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Don Gray, in September of 2003. Mary and Don had been married 47 years. Services will be held on Saturday, October 14, at 11:00 AM at First Presbyterian Church, 800 S. Enota Drive, Gainesville, Georgia. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the charity of your choice.
