Oscar Nix Obituary
Memorial services will be held for Oscar Randall Nix Jr. on Thursday, June 12, 2008, at 4 p.m. in the chapel of Little-Davenport Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 11, 2008, from 5 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from noon until service time.
Mr. Nix passed away Monday, June 9, 2008, after an extended illness.
Born in Atlanta, he was the son of the late Oscar Randall and Eugenia Smith Nix Sr. He was a graduate of Brown High School class of 1958 and a member of Park Street Methodist Church, both in Southwest Atlanta.
Mr. Nix had lived in Dahlonega for 24 years. He was owner and operator of Georgia 400 Janitorial for 24 years.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Robyn Nix, Gainesville; daughters and sons-in-law, Kimberli Clark, Snellville, Kay Ingersoll, North Carolina, and Tami and Staci Barrett, Dahlonega; sister and brother-in-law, Diane and Dennis McDonald, Kennesaw; grandchildren, Michael Clark, Joanna Clark, Grace Sowers, Lauren Ingersoll, Alli Ingersoll, Jessie Barrett and Abby Barrett; and other relatives and friends.

I want everyone to know that Randall became not only my sybling but truly my best friend. He was strong, determined, and fought this disease to the very end. I am proud to call him my Brother. Thank you all for your kind notes, calls, and visits.

I have known Randall since we were in kindergarden at Peeples St. We graduated from Brown High together. I have talked to him several times over the last year by e-mail. I wanted to express to his family my condolences. He was a great guy.
