Phyllis Ann “Shad” Zimmer Obituary

Phyllis "Shad" Zimmer, 59, of Flowery Branch, died Sunday, July 18, 2010, at her home following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, July 22, 2010, from the chapel of Memorial Park South Funeral Home.

Interment will follow in Memorial Park South Cemetery. The family will offer words of encouragement.

The family will receive friends Thursday before the service from 10 to 11:15 a.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Zimmer was born in Indianapolis, Ind., to the late Ralph E. and Laura Apple Pacey; she was preceded in death by her son, James Lucas Zimmer and a sister, Nancy P. Osteen. Mrs. Zimmer was of the Methodist faith and was a member of Phi Theta Kappa and Past Grand Adah, Grand Chapter in Florida OES.

Survivors include: F. Robert "Bob" Zimmer of Flowery Branch; two sons and daughters-in-law, Christian and Heather Zimmer of Flowery Branch and Allen and Crystal Zimmer of Duluth; daughter-in-law, Danyell Zimmer Blalock of Flowery Branch; and one sister, Barbara P. Yamka of Daytona Beach, Fla.
