Aug. 4, 1944-July 21, 2009
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 24, 2009, at 6 p.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church in Gainesville for Ted Evon, 64, of Gainesville who passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2009, at home under hospice care. The family will receive friends at Little & Davenport Funeral Home in Gainesville on Friday, July 24 from 3 to 5 p.m. Father Thad Rudd will officiate. The rosary service will be held at 4:30 p.m. Friday at Little & Davenport Funeral Home.
Ted was born in Ashtabula, Ohio, and moved to Georgia in 1978. He attended Case Western Reserve University, where he graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He was employed by the Coca Cola Company and retired in 2006.
He was preceded in death by his father, Stephen Joseph Evon; and his brother, Robert Evon.
He is survived by his wife M. Jean Evon of Gainesville; one son and daughter-in-law, Vince and Katie Evon of Monroe; and two daughters and sons-in-law, Becky Evon and Britney Croft of Dalton and Terri Evon and Joshua Bridge of Phoenix, Ariz.; mother, Cecelia Evon of Flowery Branch; brother, Thomas Evon of Flowery Branch; grandchildren, Jared Micheal Evon, Colin James Evon, Braeden Edward Evon and Hannah Jean Bridge.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Michael Catholic Church, 1440 Pearce Circle, Gainesville, GA 30501.

Please except our condolences on your loss of Teddy. Many hours were passed in our childhood playing Cowboys and Indian's in each other's back yards in Ashtabula,Ohio. I was his "backup" for his neighborhood newspaper route. Payment was a sunday at the Dairy Queen on 20!
