Charles Spears Obituary

April 27, 1968
March 23, 2021

Charles Edward Spears, Sr., 52, affectionately known as Chip, went home to be with his father Bill on March 23, 2021.
Those close to Chip would fondly joke that he was like a fungus because he grew on you.
Chip was a kind and decent man that never met a stranger and though he could be contrary and stubborn at times, his heart was big and he fiercely loved his children and grandchildren.
Chip was a goofy jokester and even when he could be hard to deal with, his warm humor often helped people overlook it.
He enjoyed WWE and football and rooted hard for his favorite team the Broncos.
He always made sure people had a place to stay, even offering shelter to homeless people.
Many people looked up to Chip and he always offered guidance and advice when asked.
Above all he will be dearly missed by all those who loved him.
He is preceded in death by his biological parents, Rodger Dean Spears and Katy Anderson; his adoptive father, William "Bill" Spears; sons, CJ Spears and Cody Spencer; grandchild, William Ray Spears; and brother, Donald Spears.
Survivors include his loving children, Brittany Spears and her fiancé, Matthew Guard and Corey Spears and his wife, Lisa; 10 grandchildren; mother, Faye Beckner; and his cousin, Michelle Hudson.
A Celebration of Chip's Life will be held at a later date.
