Melvin Dooley Obituary

Melvin Lee Dooley Jr. 54, of Galax, died Sunday, Dec. 12, 2021, at Twin County Regional Hospital.
He was born in Galax on June 12, 1967.
Survivors include his wife, Gloria Jones Dooley of Galax; father, Melvin Lee Dooley Sr. and wife, Janet of Fries; mother, Patricia Coins and husband, Randy of Afton; daughters, Shannon Dooley and wife, Heather Snead, of Galax and Elizabeth Gibson and husband, Tyler. of Galax; a grandson; brother, Jonathan Matthew Dooley of Afton; sister, Rebecca Jewell and husband, Scott, of Afton; step brothers, Joshua Coins and wife, Delana, of North Carolina, Justin Cook and wife, Nikki, of Roanoke and Kevin Katosha of North Carolina; step sisters, Rose Coins of North Carolina and Tamera Kirby and husband, Bill, of Fries; and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2021, at High Country Services at 7 p.m. Keith Ledford will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m.
High Country Services is serving the family.
