GALION - Jeffrey E. Tolley, 61, of Galion was called home on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at Crystal Care Center of Mansfield after a very courageous 6-year battle with prostate cancer.
Jeff was born in Charleston, WV on June 2, 1962. He was preceded in death by his mother, Florence Evelyn German, father, John Edward German and sister, Jona Faye German of Galion.
Jeff was a 1980 graduate from Northmor High School. He had a love for the outdoors, hunting, fishing, gardening and even enjoyed canning all the vegetables from his garden. We will certainly miss his great pickles. His greatest treasure and love was his daughter, Johnna. He loved everything that involved her, whether it be hunting, watching her play softball, watching her cheer or just hanging out at the house with her. She was his entire world as he was hers.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Johnna Tolley of Galion, sister Joan (Denny) Burkhardt of Cardington, sister June Tolley of Galion, niece Emily (Matt) Leader of Marion, nephew Ben (Sofiya) Burkhardt of Cleveland, and another light in Jeff's life was his great nephew John Leader of Marion.
Jeff will be remembered for his infectious smile that would light up any room he entered. He would do anything for anyone. He was loved by so many. He had so many amazing friends which he considered just like family. He will be dearly missed by all of us.
There will be no memorial service as per Jeff's request.
A trust will be set up for Johnna. To those wishing to make a memorial contribution please send it to June Tolley @ 8745 St. Rt. 19 Galion, OH 44833.

I met Jeff about 9 years ago on a school field trip. Our daughters were in the same class together. I instantly liked him. We talked guns, fishing and hunting. Jeff was a good man and a good father with a heart of gold. I always enjoyed our conversations. He always had a smile on his face and was always glad to see you! Johnna, you will always be the light of his life! I will miss him greatly! Rest easy my friend!
