William Hershner Obituary

GALION - Bill Hershner passed 12/19/23 from the complications of Progressive Supra/Nural Palsy, at home, his wife Liz by his side.

Born in Galion, the son of Carl & Ruth (Winters) Hershner. He had twin older brothers, David passed in 2017, and Daniel is living in Fl.

He graduated Galion HS 1963 where he broke his elbow playing football. He went to work for the Galion Iron Works.

1965 he joined the Navy, on the St. Paul, he went to Vietnam DMZ twice, exposed to Agent Orange. After the Navy Bill went on to become a District manager for Link Belt.

He has 2 children with his first wife Teddy. They were active in St. Joseph church where he was a "Reader". Sean (Jennifer) Jacob & Emily of Suffolk Va Angela (Jim) Madisyn, Braden & Conner of Crestline Oh. Bill was a die-hard Elvis Fan. He was proud of his sobriety both from alcohol & tobacco.

Moving to Fl, he was a District Manager for Kelly Crane Co.

Bill married Elisabeth (Liz) Estes and became stepdad her adult sons H.Dean Dalton (Casey) Justin of Bradenton Fl & Mathew Dalton (Kim) Brandon & Ryan of Murietta Ca. A Celebration of Life will be held July 27 at the 7th Day Adventist church, Galion 3-5.
