Kimberly Thole Obituary

Kimberly Jo Thole, 58, of Galt, CA sadly passed on May 16, 2024 after a 2+ year battle with breast cancer. Kim's courage, bright spirit & smile and joy for living will be dearly missed. Kim lived primarily in Sacramento & San Joaquin areas and in Ravalli County, Montana. At age 3, Kim was a songster mascot for Elk Grove High's Thundering Herd and was a high school drill team member there before working in banking for Schools Credit Union and Wells Fargo. Kim also attended Delta College in Stockton and Salish Kootenai College in Montana. A life-long animal lover, she raised many beloved dogs and cats and was an accomplished horsewoman. Kim is survived by her fiancé, Michael Tankersley, sister Donna Bays & husband Larry, sister Terry Thole, brother Kelly Thole, sister Tracy DeVore & fiancé Kelly Deco, as well as numerous extended family members and friends all dear to her. Preceding in death were parents Don & Jeanne Thole, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. Kim's vibrancy, loving spirit, creativity, acceptance of others and endurance through many trials is a wonderful example to us all. Celebration of life details to be announced in the Galt Herald. Suggested donations in Kim's honor appreciated for: UC Davis Hospice Memorial Fund (give.ucdavis.edu/1012/9100824) or Breast Cancer Research Foundation (bcrf.org).
