Anna Petkac Obituary
Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Rosary will be recited at 10:45 a.m. Saturday in the church.
Mrs. Petkac passed away Sunday, June 27, 2021, at 5:15 p.m., in Windy Hill Village, Philipsburg, Pennsylvania.
Born May 1, 1932, in Grassflat, she was a son of the late John S. and Anna E. (Lucas) Danko.
On July 31, 1954, Anna married Andrew C. Petkac at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Grassflat. Anna and Andrew were married for 61 years.
Anna was a 1949 graduate of Cooper Township High School. Following graduation, sheworked as a seamstress for several years at a clothing factory in Philipsburg. For the remainder of her life, she was a homemaker.
Mrs. Petkac was a life-long parishioner of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, where she taught CCD classes and participated in the church altar and rosary societies. She was a member of the Jednota First Catholic Slovak Ladies Union, Grassflat chapter.
Anna is survived by two sons, Andrew J. Petkac and wife Charlene of State College, and John S. Petkac of Edinboro; two sisters, Irene Danko of Grassflat, and Mary Sbaraglia of Lady Lake, Florida; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Anna was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew C. Petkac; one son, Michael J. Petkac; an infant daughter, Mary Petkac; a granddaughter, Rachel Petkac; and a brother, Michael Danko.
There will be no public visitation, but the public is invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to: Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, PO Box 159, Frenchville, PA 16836-0159, or the American Heart Association, PO Box 840692, Dallas TX 75284-0692, requesting that the
contributions remain in Central Pennsylvania.
