David Panik Obituary

David S. Panik, Jr., age 65 of Grassflat, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at Mt. Nittany Medical Center, State College.

Born April 15, 1958 in Philipsburg, he was the son of the late David S. Sr. and Elizabeth M. (Danko) Panik.

Surviving are his siblings, Christine M. Simon and husband Morton, Washington, DC; Mark A. Panic and wife Mary Beth, Dagsboro, DE; John Panik and wife Margaret, Middleburg, FL; and Cynthia A. Panik, Grassflat; six nieces, six nephews and two great-nephews.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Teresa Ballard.

David was a 1976 graduate of West Branch High School, after graduation he attended a two-year technical school in Pittsburgh.

He had worked for the former JH France Refractories, Snow Shoe then for Diamond Back, Philipsburg.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, February 8, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Sts. Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church, Grassflat with Father William Barron as celebrant.

His final resting place will be in the church cemetery.

A luncheon will follow at St. Severin Roman Catholic Social Hall, Drifting.
