Pap,
I'll miss you and appreciate all the memories that I had with you. I remember how you took us in the canoe on Blackie and all the times we fished. Also appreciate how you helped me in school with geometry, chemistry. I guess what really sticks with me is going to chapel every Wednesday and hearing you talk about how making sure we were saved and how to keep the victory. Also will miss you playing your guitar in church and how you taught me how to play the mandolin and banjo. Hard to believe you and gram are both gone.....as a kid I never thought this day would ever come and yet here it is. I'll always treasure the memories and the stories you told me. Hard to fathom that you remembered Pearl Harbor, I will endeavor to pass on all your teachings down to my children and I'll make sure you're never forgotten in my house. I'll remind my kids of how great my grandparents were and how much they loved God. Aim to meet you again, someday. Thanks for being a trailblazer for us and leaving us a path to follow. You will be sorely missed,
Cam

Thank you for living by example the Christian life.
I had the privileged of caring for you the last three years. You would always tell me that there was a reward waiting for me in Heaven and many times say you were sorry that I had to sacrifice so much time in caring for you. I did it dad because I loved you.
You are finally home, and I can only imagine the reunions you are having with loved ones gone before you. I hope you remembered to tell mom "Hi" and give her a big hug from me. I will miss you. I'll remember all the time we spent together. We had some good laughs, and we did our share of crying, and we whispered a prayer during some of the most stressful times. God was faithful. He gave me new grace every time I needed it. I will see you in the morning!

My Pap was my hero growing up. He was always there for me. From my earliest memories I remember helping Pap with adding on to our house, working on cars, working around the house and the church. Pap and I did everything together. He used to call me his "side kick" because I was always there helping with stuff.
Thank you for all your love and support through the years. You always believed in me even when it seemed no one else did. Thank you for taking time for me. I miss the days we would spend together and talk about anything and everything imaginable. You loved your children and grandchildren very much even if it was hard for you to express sometimes. I miss you but would not want to rob you of the peace you now know. Rest in Peace!
