Doris Smith Obituary

Doris Jean Smith, age 88 of Reynoldsville, PA died Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at Penn Highlands Jefferson Manor.

Born on July 6, 1937 in Brookville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph J. and Caroline L. (Pitts) Richards.

Only July 6, 1956 she married Delbert "Bud" Smith. He preceded her in death on March 23, 1990.

Doris had been a cake decorator for Mike's Riverside for many years, and previous to that, had worked at Tonell's Jewelry in Brookville.

She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and the Hormtown Women's Club.

Doris is survived by her children (Tom Smith and his wife Carol of Brookville, PA, Tim Smith and his wife Brenda of Reynoldsville, PA, and Lori Hammon and her husband Mark of Reynoldsville, PA), six grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by one sister (Betty Petty), one brother (Jim Richards), and one granddaughter (Amanda Smith).

There will be no public visitation and a private family service will be held at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. with Pastor Terry Felt officiating.

A Celebration of Life Service will be announced.

Burial will take place in Smith Cemetery in Hormtown.
