Elizabeth Anne "BA" Liegey

1950 - 2022

Elizabeth Anne "BA" Liegey, age 72 of Frenchville, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, October 20, 2022 at Mt. Nittany Medical Center, State College.

Born April 21, 1950, she was the daughter of the late John Joseph and Helen (Cummings) Berger.

On September 6, 1969 in Philadelphia, she wed the love of her life, Robert W. Liegey, Sr. who survives in Frenchville.

Also surviving are her son, Robert W. Liegey, Jr, and his wife Janine, Kylertown; her grandchildren, Megan Liegey and Kurtis Liegey both of Kylertown; a brother, Joe Berger and wife Barbara, Rydal, PA, several nieces and nephews; and many friends in Frenchville and in Florida. She will be dearly missed by all. She is also very missed by her loving pup, Snoop.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a twin brother, Tom Berger.

Elizabeth was a 1968 graduate of Cardinal Daugherty High School, Philadelphia. She was a member of Mosquito Creek Sportsmen's Club, Frenchville and a social member of the Frenchville VFW. Elizabeth was owner/operator, along with her husband, of the former BA's Country Tavern, Frenchville for twelve years. She also loved horses.

There will be no public visitation.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 28, 2022 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary's of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, Frenchville, with Father Mark Mastrian as celebrant.

She will be laid to rest in the church cemetery.

Family suggests memorial contributions be made to: St. Jude Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
