Franklin Viglione Obituary

Franklin J. "Frank" Viglione, age 75 of DuBois, PA, died Saturday, March 1, 2025 at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital.

Born on November 20, 1949 in Ridgway, PA, he was the son of the late Michael and Nellie (Jones) Viglione, Sr.

On September 2, 1999, he married his wife of 25 years, Kimberly (Selzler) Viglione. She survives.

Frank was a veteran of the United States Army having served in combat in the Vietnam War. He was awarded a purple heart and a bronze star for his dedicated service to his country.

After his military service, Frank worked for Ridgway Borough and then went to work for Varischetti Sanitation and Construction. He then ended is working career and retired from Varischetti and Sons, Inc.

Frank loved hunting, fishing and golfing. He was a member of the George D. Montgomery American Legion Post 17 and the Olympic Athletic Club.

In addition to his wife, Frank is survived by his son (Kris Viglione of Clearfield, PA), a sister (Patricia "Patty" VanSlander of St. Marys, PA), and a brother (Kris Viglione and his wife Mary of Ridgway, PA).

He was preceded in death by his sister (Linda Johnson) and his 2 brothers (Kurt and Michael Viglione, Jr.).

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2025 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 7, 2025 at 11 a.m. from the funeral home with Pastor Terry Felt officiating.

Full military honors will be accorded by the members of the DuBois Area Honor Guard at the funeral home.

Memorials may be placed with any veteran organization of the donor's choice.
