Frederick Dunlap Obituary

Frederick R. "Tim" Dunlap, 89, of Osceola Mills, PA died on Friday, June 17, 2022 at Graystone Manor Bellmeade in Altoona, PA.

Born on January 16, 1933 in Philipsburg, PA, he was the son of the late Charles H. & Margaret E. (Walker) Dunlap. He married Phyllis Jane Cowfer on November 4, 1953 in Osceola Mills, PA; she preceded him in death.

He was a member of the Osceola Mills United Methodist Church, a life member of the Columbia Fire Company, a member of the Osceola Mills Historical Society and a member of the Central Firemen's Association.

Tim was an Air Force Veteran of the Korean War. He was the former owner-operator of Dunlap Auto Sales for 32 years, and was a US Mail Contractor for 30 years. He was a 1950 graduate of the former Osceola Mills High School.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Paula Jane Horan; a sister, Charlotte Kanour; and a brother Charles R. "Chuck" Dunlap.

Tim is survived by a son Timothy B. Dunlap & his wife, Beth of Philipsburg, PA; a sister, Margaret Fravel & her husband Rev. Dr. Raymond Fravel of York PA; and four grandchildren, Tim Horan, Katey Horan, Spencer Dunlap & his wife Alayna, and Bryce Dunlap.

There will be no visitation or funeral service. Burial will be at the Umbria Cemetery in Osceola Mills, PA.

We lived a couple doors from the garage on Lingle Street and remained customers when it moved to Midway. Always enjoyed talking and dealing with Tim & Chuck. They were good guys.
