Henry Skraba Obituary

Henry E. Skraba, age 88 of Greensburg, PA, formerly of DuBois, PA, died Monday, March 31, 2025 at Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital in Greensburg, PA.

Born on January 9, 1937 in DuBois, PA, he was the son of the late Samuel and Anna (Radzik) Skraba.

Henry was a 1955 graduate of the DuBois Area High School.

On May 12, 1962 he married his wife of 62 years, Darlene J. (Kundrich) Skraba. She survives.

Henry retired as a supervisor at Penn Traffic after 42 years of service in the receiving department.

He was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church. He enjoyed woodworking, working outdoors and was well-known for keeping an immaculate yard.

Along with his wife, Henry is survived by one daughter (Lisa Giles of Greensburg, PA), two grandchildren (Brandon Giles and his wife Kelly , and Shawna Giles, both of Pittsburgh, PA), and two sisters (Josephine Smith of DuBois, PA and Carolyn Robertson of St. Johns, FL).

He was preceded in death by four brothers (John, Raymond, Steven and Alex Skraba), and three sisters (Irene Zinzella, Mildred Rutowski, Mary Ann Sickeri, and Francis Shaw).

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, April 11, 2025 at 11 A.M. from Holy Spirit Parish at St. Michael the Archangel with Fr. John Malthaner as celebrant.

Burial will follow in St. Michael Cemetery.
