Joan Davis Obituary

Joan E. Davis, age 91 of Luthersburg, PA died peacefully on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family.

Born on July 30, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Hazel (Bishop) Guisler.

Joan was a veteran of the United States Air Force.

She married James E. Davis. He preceded her in death in 2004.

Joan was a homemaker, and a member of the Salem United Methodist Church. She was a notorious poker player known as "Gram the Rat", and also enjoyed Bingo. Joan loved her cats Kipper Kee, Bob, Sweet Pea, Precious and Fluffy.

She is survived by five sons, (James Davis & his wife Charlene of Rockton, PA, David, Daniel and William Davis all of Luthersburg, PA, and Joel Davis and his wife Isabel of Rigby, ID)a daughter (Jenifer Light of Wernersville, PA), twelve grandchildren (Elizabeth, Megan, Josh, Ryan, Julia, Alex, Ian, Billy, David, Steve, Cristian and Amanda), seven great grandchildren, two brothers (Samuel Guisler and his wife Barbara, and Steve Guisler and his wife Joy, and one sister (Lara Braxton).

She was preceded in death by her son (Samuel Davis)

Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 7, 2025 from 1-4 PM at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 8, 2025 at 1 PM from the funeral home with Pastor Ann Dixon officiating.

Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery.
