Lynn Coudriet Obituary

Lynn Llewellyn Coudriet, 84, beloved son of Paul "Bart" Coudriet and Leona Michaels, was sent to his eternal home on August 14, 2025 at his home in Morrisdale, Pennsylvania.

Born in a modest home in Keewaydin, Pennsylvania, on April 15th, 1941, he was the fourth of five siblings Anita, Sheldon "Sonny", Duane, and Sharon. He completed his high school diploma at Clearfield High School. He worked as a surveyor with PennDOT and as a heavy equipment operator in the coal industry. He served active-duty in the military between the years of 1960 and 1962, and inactive duty for another four years following. He was a long-time member of the Masonic lodge, receiving his 50-year pin in 2021.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Marylou Woods, his second wife, Sandy McGonigal, his sister, Anita McDowell, and his brother Duane Coudriet. He is survived by his children and spouses: Doug Coudriet (Pam), Daren Coudriet (Melissa), and April Ellenberger (Todd); his siblings: Sheldon Coudriet and Sharon Farmer; his stepchildren: Kimberly Moyer (Jeff), Laurie Hess (Larry), and Doug McGonigal; his grandchildren: Alivia Ellenberger, Seth Coudriet, Faith Ellenberger, Emma Coudriet, and Sarah Coudriet; his step grandchildren: Tyler McGonigal (McKenzie), Travis Moyer (Naomi), Ryan Hess (Jennifer), Lauren Kephart (Derek), and five step great grandchildren.

Lynn's greatest joy in life was his family, whom he cherished beyond measure. A close second was his passion for the outdoors. An avid outdoorsman, he found joy in hunting, fishing, and spending time at camp. He also loved cheering on the Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers. He will be remembered for his kindness, patience, and deep love for his family and friends. Grounded in his faith, he was comforted knowing God was always with him. Lynn was known for the smile that rarely left his face and for being the first to offer a warm hello or strike up a friendly conversation. He left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. Truly one of a kind, he will be deeply missed by many.

Family and friends will be received from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Friday, August 22 at the Gethsemane United Methodist Church, 369 Allport Cutoff, Allport, PA, where a funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow at the Keewaydin Cemetery. Lunch will be served at the church following the burial.

Family suggests memorial contributions be made in Lynn's name, to a charity they feel best suited Lynn's likes.

Strange & Weaver Funeral Service, Morrisdale, is in charge of the arrangements.
