Marlene Matsko Obituary

Marlene M. Matsko, age 81, a guest of Ridgeview Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Curwensville, and formerly of Grassflat, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at the home.

Born July 1, 1943 in Philipsburg, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Anna (Lyncha) Force.

On November 30, 1963 at Sts. Peter & Paul Roman Catholic Church, Grassflat, she married the love of her life, Michael Matsko, who survives in Clearfield.

Also surviving are her children, Natalie Gormont (Marty); Joseph Matsko (Kelly); Bonnie Picard (Bernie); Michael Matsko, Jr. (Marleen); eleven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; her sister, June; and nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, James Force.

Marlene was a long-time member of St. Peter & Paul Roman Catholic Church, Grassflat, and more currently of St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, Clearfield. She was a past member of the Jednota Club and the Women of the Moose, Grassflat. She was a 1961 graduate of West Branch High School, Allport and was a homemaker. From a very young age, she was very talented, playing the organ for over 60 years for church and for others.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday, February 14, 2025 at 10:00 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, Clearfield with Father Robert J. Horgas as celebrant.

Her final resting place will be St. Peter & Paul Roman Catholic Cemetery, Grassflat.

Family suggests memorial contributions be made in her name to, St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, 212 South Front Street, Clearfield, PA 16830.
