Martha Rieg Obituary

Martha E. Rieg, age 83 of Carlisle, PA, formerly of DuBois, PA died Sunday, April 6, 2025 at her home.

Born on June 26, 1941 in Grafton, WV, she was the daughter of the late George R. and Inez (McIntosh) Martin.

On June 25, 1960 she her husband of 64 years, James K. Rieg, Sr. He survives.

Martha retired from Kohlhepp's True Value Hardware in DuBois, PA after 22 years of service.

She was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church in Carlisle, PA and a former member of St. Catherine of Siena in DuBois, PA.

Along with her husband, Martha is survived by her children (Tammy Adamson and her husband Jeffrey of Fairhope, AL, James K. Rieg, Jr. of DuBois, PA, and Ed Rieg and his wife Darla of Carlisle, PA), seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers (Charles and Harold Martin).

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 from 4 – 7 PM at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, April 10, 2025 at 10 AM from Holy Spirit Parish at St. Catherine with Father John Malthaner as celebrant.
