Paul Neidig Obituary

Paul "Pap" Irvin Neidig, 83, of Munson, PA, passed away Sunday, September 21, 2025 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA.

Paul was born on August 31, 1942 in Shamokin, PA and was the son of the late Irvin Francis Neidig and Laura Jane (Richie) Neidig. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Romaine (Hess) Neidig, a brother, Robert Neidig, and a sister, Sarah (Neidig) Klinger.

Paul attended Shamokin Area School. His lifetime of employment included: Empire Kosher, Mifflinburg, PA, Eber's Typewriter Shop, York, PA, D&D Distribution Center, York, PA, and Boscov's, York, PA. Some of his fondest memories were working for Empire Kosher under Joseph Katz.

Paul is survived by his daughter, Heather Belles and husband Ryan in Munson, PA, and two step daughters, Jennifer (Scott) Raineri and husband Ray, York, PA, Jessica (Scott) Hoover, and Travis of Dover, PA and seven grandchildren, including Vincent, Preston, Dominic, Savannah, Anthony, Evangeline, and Eli with whom he loved more than anything.

He has two sets of notable friends: Joe and Donna Toomey of Dover, PA and Jason and Leann Monn of Philipsburg, PA with whom he considered family. Paul also enjoyed gardening, loved animals, and tended to his 40 chickens and egg customers every day.

There will be no public visitation. A memorial will be held on Monday, October 13, 2025 beginning at 1:00 pm at Angel Walk Winery, 56 Angel Walk Lane, Allport, PA 16821.
