Richard Hollabaugh Obituary

Richard Lynn "Dick" Hollabaugh, age 84 of Hawk Run, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at his residence.

Born March 13, 1940, in Morrisdale, he was the son of the late John Albert and Mable Ruth Hollabaugh.

On January 31, 1991, in Kylertown, he wed his love of 34 years, Dolores A. (Kalina) Bumbarger who survives.

Also surviving are his children, Melissa "Missy" Bathurst, Altoona; Meg Leonard, Altoona; Clayton Hollabaugh, Altoona; Christine King, Rockwood; Rick Hollabaugh, Morrisdale; Bill Hollabaugh, Texas; Richie Fleck of Philipsburg; his step children, Edwin Bumbarger, Jr., Philipsburg; Stephen W. Bumbarger, Hawk Run; Tammy R. Beveridge, Philipsburg; Jaime Bumbarger, Hawk Run; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; his siblings, Mary Jane Hollis, Philipsburg; Bernice "Toots" Lanich, Clearfield; and several nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, Richard "Dickie," Timothy and Doug Hollabaugh; his sister, Sandra Minor and his brother, John "Jack" Hollabaugh.

Richard was affiliated with the Mormon Faith. He was a graduate of the former Morris Twp. High School. His enjoyment was summering at his camp in Wharton, PA, loving his faithful dog, "King" who did not want to leave his side; the Pittsburgh Steelers Football, Pirates Baseball and Penn State Football. He also was a former member of the Lincoln Club, Hawk Run.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025 in the Chapel of Strange & Weaver Funeral Service, Morrisdale at 11:00 AM with Branch President of the Philipsburg Branch of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints, Bruce Richter officiating.

A luncheon will immediately follow at the Morris Township Volunteer Fire Company Recreation Center, 1104 Deer Creek Road, Morrisdale, PA 16858.

His final resting place will be Grandview Cemetery, Morrisdale.

Family suggests memorial contributions be made to: Lincoln Club, PO Box 201, Hawk Run, PA 16840.

Strange & Weaver Funeral Service, Morrisdale, is in charge of the arrangements.
