Rita Freemer Obituary
Born on October 1, 1925 in Johnsonburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Gladish) Freemer.
Rita retired from Calliari's Bakery after 17 years of service. Prior to that, she had worked at Zappia's Bakery for 45 years.
She was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church for 66 years and a member of the Altar Rosary Society. Rita loved baking, especially baking pies.
Rita is survived by her children Beverly Aughenbaugh and Phillip Freemer (Danita) both of DuBois, PA, six grandchildren, and thirteen great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one sister (Doris Gilbert) and two brothers (Thomas and Donald Freemer).
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 25, 2024 from 5 -8 PM at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at 10 AM from Holy Spirit Parish at St. Catherine of Siena with Father John Malthaner as celebrant.
Burial will follow in St. Catherine Cemetery.
