William J. "Bill" Civiello

William J. 'Bill' Civiello, 74, of Clearfield died on Monday, November 28, 2022 at his home.

He was born on July 9, 1948 in Altoona, a son of the late Daniel M. and Katherine (Ketrow) Civiello.

Mr. Civiello retired from the medical department at SCI Houtzdale where he was a Physician Assistant. Prior to that, he was employed by Dr. Ralph A. Cardamone in Clearfield and also Blair Medical Associates.

He was a devout member of St. Francis Catholic Church where he served as a Eucharistic Minister, CCD teacher, lector and was also a member of the parish council. He also headed the decorating committee and provided maintenance services. Bill enjoyed making rosaries and donating them to various churches and hospitals. He was also a self-proclaimed 'Wood Butcher' and loved to work in his shop.

Mr. Civiello served with the U. S. Navy during Vietnam as a hospital corpsman and an OR Tech on the U.S.S. Boxer.

He is survived by his wife, Catherine M (Bobby) Civiello whom he wed September 17, 1976 in Patton; three children, Damien Civiello and wife Shari of Portsmith, VA, Joshua Civiello and wife Christina of Columbus, OH, and Brooke Civiello and companion Jim Becker of Clearfield; four grandsons, Isaac, Aris, Michael and Noah; a brother, D. Michael Civiello Jr. and wife Noreen of Altoona; a sister, Patricia A. Seliga of Northampton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ronald and Douglas Civiello.

A memorial mass will be said at the St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield on Saturday at 10 AM with Msgr. Krebs celebrant.

Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to St. Francis School, 212 S. Front Street, Clearfield, PA 16830.
