Bertie Grant Obituary

CLOVER, S.C. - Bertie Wilson Grant, 90 of 761 Grant Lane, Clover, died Saturday, Feb. 27, 2010, at home.

Mrs. Grant was born Jan. 5, 1920, in Jackson County, to the late Jimmy and Dovie Poole Wilson. She was the widow of William C. Grant and was pre-ceded in death by four brothers and a grandson. Mrs. Grant was retired from Firestone Mill, Gastonia.

Surviving are her daughters and son-in-law, Rebecca and John Pendleton of Clover, S.C., Billie Elaine Hightower of Clover; sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Ann Cagle, Harold and Candy Cagle; sister, Britta Lee Hooper, Clover; brother, Theodore Wilson of Gastonia, five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday, March 1, 2010, at M.L. Ford & Sons Funeral Home Chapel, Clover.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Woodside Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Hospice and Community Care, PO Box 993, Rock Hill, SC 29731.

M.L. Ford & Sons Funeral Home is serving the family of Mrs. Grant.
