Bobby Meeks Obituary
A native of Gaston County, he was the son of the late Jerry Meeks and Arnetta Cooke Meeks.
Survivors include five daughters, Diana (Bobby) Bethea of High Point, Michelle (Michael) Hayes, Nanette (Scottie) Galmon, all of Gastonia, Bernadine (Shawn) Degree of Kings Mountain and Mary (Tony) Sadler of Columbia, S.C.; three sisters, Delons Woods of Detroit, Thelma (Herbert) Isles of Belmont, and Joann (Hugh) Jacks of Chattanooga, Tenn.; one brother, Mervin Meeks of Mount Holly; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Sue Meeks; sister, Jerri Ann Meeks; and brother, Johnny Meeks.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday at Tabernacle Baptist Church in Gastonia with the Rev. Dr. Jerry V. Burns officiating.
Burial will follow in Armstrong Cemetery in Gastonia.
The family will receive friends from 2:30 to 3 p.m. Tuesday at the church.
Costner Funeral Service of Gastonia is providing the arrangements.
