Dale Costner Obituary
Mr. Costner was born Nov. 25, 1954, in Gaston County, to the late Grier Wayne Costner Sr. and Inez Elizabeth Fowler Costner.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Carr. He worked in construction, loved his critters, and loved collecting things. He always said, "The main thing is to maintain."
He is survived by a son, Dale Wayne Costner II, and wife Kimberly of Jacksonville, FL; three sisters, Ewayne Blankenship and husband Dennis of Charlotte, Elaine Wilson of Gastonia, and Eraine Hibberts of Parksville, SC; four brothers, Allen Wayne Costner and wife Brenda of Dallas, Grier Wayne Costner of Crouse, Randy Wayne Costner and wife Mary of Gastonia, and John Wayne
Costner and wife Gail of Dallas; two grandchildren, Trae Dale Costner and Chloe Rayne Costner; and their grandmother, the love of his life, Ginny Arnette.
A memorial service will be held 7 p.m. Monday, March 10, 2014, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Walt Windley officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5 until 6:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Warlick Funeral Home is serving the Costner family.

In My Pocket I have memories in my pocket. They rattle among the change. My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go. They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole they give me comfort when I think I am alone. Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there. May you rest in peace my beloved friend, and my sons father, and papa Dale.

Sorry about your loss. I have only been around Dale a few times. He seemed to be a happy go lucky kind of guy. He will be missed.
