My Dad told me Coach Ward had past today and I want to send my best memory of him. I played on his baseball team back in the 80s. He told me I had a good knowledge of the game but I learned a lot more from him. I was more concerned how I was playing and he made me aware of how to play as a team. He told me your always in the game even if your on the bench. I used that philosophy when I coached kids just like him for 19 years even using his same signals in games. My team won the city championship in 2010 my son hand the game winning RBI. My assistant coach even played in the Sherwood Youth Association. It felt like one his games. I don't know if John will remember me I was the right fielder who save his no hitter at Erwin Center with that big catch in right field. Coach said he will never figure out how I ran that ball down. He was jumping up and down with us kids like he was a kid. Coach Ward I know now your jumping around in heaven I'll see you again one day and I'll let you know how I caught up with that ball. RIP

I love you Daddy. We were all so blessed to have you in our life. I miss you so much but rejoicing that you are with God. A new body and eyesight. I know your rejoicing with God. You were always there for my children and loved them as your own. I will carry you in my heart forever and
i will tell my grandchildren what a special man you were
. Until we meet again i will carry you in my heart always. You were my rock! God Bless! ❤
