Danny Thompson Obituary
Danny was born Aug. 13, 1956, in Anderson, S.C., to the late George W. and Sybil Tippins Thompson.
He was also preceded in death by a son, Josh Thompson, brother, George Thompson and a sister, Joann Caldwell. He was also a member of Ranlo Church of God.
Survivors include his wife of 16 years, Deborah Bumgardner Thompson; children, Danny Thompson Jr. (Angela), Amber Thompson and Sylvia Thompson; sisters, Shirley Stevens (Tommy), Faye Bradley (Dennis), Cathy Lucas (Robert) and Dale Baker; brothers, Clifford Thompson, Robert Thompson (Katie) and Charlie Thompson (Doris); 16 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services to celebrate Mr. Thompson's life will be held 2 p.m. Friday April 4 at Ranlo Church of God with the Rev. Johnny Sawyer and Pastor Jerry Willard officiating.
Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Belmont.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers please make memorials in Danny's name to Hospice of Gaston County, PO Box 3984, Gastonia, NC 28054.
