David Altman Obituary

GASTONIA - David Aaron Altman Jr., 63, passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2016.

He was born in Hampton, S.C., son of the late Davis Aaron Altman Sr. and Thelma Delores Lightsey Altman.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jason Altman; a granddaughter, Emily Beth Altman; three sisters, Belinda Thompson, Christy Altman and Joyce Davis. He was a member of the CVA – Denver.

He is survived by his spouse, Melody Sprinkle; two children, Candy Marchand and husband Raymond of Indian Trail and David Altman III and wife Vicky of Gastonia; three siblings, Carol Rich of Stanley, Deborah Helms of Troutman and Mary Sparks of Denton; four grandchildren, Alex and Julia Marchand and Tiffany and Jessie Lanier.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mr. Altman will be held 5:30 p.m. Saturday April 9, 2016, at the Woodlawn Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home with the Rev. John D. Mayberry officiating.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 5:30 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
