Gloria Bridges Obituary

Mrs. Gloria Barbara Wesson Bridges, 88, previously of Lawndale and Oak Island, NC, passed away on August 10, 2018, at Pruitt Health Carolina Point.
Mrs. Bridges was born in Ruth, North Carolina, on June 21, 1930, to the late Ray B. Wesson and Grace Owens Wesson. She was a proud homemaker and a Pillsbury Award-winning baker. She enjoyed all kinds of music. She attended Limestone College to pursue a degree in psychology.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Myles Bridges and brother Ray B. Wesson, Jr. She is survived by three daughters, Alicia Bridges (Mary), Sylvia Quillin (Stephen), and Melissa Bridges (Sharon); grandchildren, Alison Quillin, Rosemary Wellons (John), and David Quillin; great-grandchildren, Luke Sasser and James Wellons; a sister, Joan Hunt (Joe); and numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be a graveside service at noon at Rose Hill Memorial Park in Fallston, NC on Tuesday, August 14, 2018.
Rich & Thompson Funeral Home and Crematory in Graham is assisting the family.
