Heather Ijames Obituary
Heather attended Chapel Grove Elementary School, Bessemer City Middle School, and Hunter Huss High school. But above all, she truly thrived in the classroom of life. Fiercely protective of those she loved, Heather's zeal for life, love and laughter endeared her to every person she met and she possessed wisdom beyond her years.
After high school, she received a Medical Associate's degree from King's College in Charlotte, NC. Heather went on to a career of service and care. She worked at Oasis Day Spa for 18 years intermittently and then she began her career as a Patient Service Coordinator with OrthoCarolina until her convalescence.
Heather was an irreplaceable friend to many and devoted to her family. She loved spending time at the beach and swimming.
She leaves to cherish fond memories, her parents James William Ijames Sr and Barbara Gilmore Ijames of the home, one sister Dana Jeanine Ijames, Bessemer City, NC and one brother James William Ijames Jr, Philadelphia, PA, Grandmother Sherleen G. Williams, Bessemer City, one niece Kéla B. Jackson, two nephews Kevin-Michael D. Jackson and Kendell M. Jackson, a goddaughter, Kylah Ross and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
Family visitation will be held at St. James Missionary Baptist Church, 1002 West Carolina Ave, Bessemer City, NC 28016 on Friday March 19, 2021 from 1:30-2:00 pm. A private family funeral will follow. Masks and social distancing will be required. Memorials and flowers can be sent to St James Missionary Baptist Church.

I thank God that he placed us in each other lives.
