Jack Harrelson Sr. Obituary
He was born Oct. 29, 1929, in Cleveland County, to the late Eugene and Dora (Canipe) Harrelson.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Doris Harrelson of Bessemer City; son, Jack Harrelson Jr. and wife, Cynthia of Bessemer City, daughter, Marilyn Medina and husband Andres "Andy" of Carolina Beach, NC; sister, Margaret Wilson of Hudson, NC; grand-children, Jason Ellis Harrelson and wife, Kellie, Mary O'Shea, Jason Richbourg; four step-grandchildren, Mark Medina Sherman, Rosalita Medina, Mani Medina Markham, Sherin Medina Jones; four great-grandchildren, Caitlyn, Jordan, Ashton Harrelson and Sara Medina.
Jack was preceded in death by one son, Harold Benjamin Harrelson, four brothers and four sisters.
A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday at Carothers Funeral Home in Gastonia.
Burial will follow at Gaston Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Jehovah's Witnesses, 25 Columbia Heights, Brooklyn, NY 11201 or
Gaston Hospice, P.O. Box 3984, Gastonia, NC 28054.
