Jean Michaels Obituary
She was born April 6, 1928, in Gaston County, daughter of the late Columbus Clinton and Hattie McBee Grayson.
Mrs. Michaels was a member of Temple Baptist Church, Gastonia for over 57 years. She worked in Cotton Textiles for over 43 years having retired from Firestone Mill after 22 years of service.
Her family would like to thank Gaston Hospice for their loving care and support shown to Mrs. Michaels.
A funeral service will be held 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Temple Baptist Church, Gastonia, officiated by Pastors Greg Ballard, Ron Withers and James Lowery.
Interment will be at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia.
A visitation will be held 10 to 11:30 a.m. prior to the service Thursday at the church.
She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Miles Michaels of the home; son, Steven Michaels Sr. of Gastonia; daughter, Teresa Michaels Rudis-ill of Gastonia; sisters and brother-in-law, Madge Desmucks of Gastonia, Dorothy "Dot" and Barlow Lee of Denver; grandchildren, Rhonda Bowman Carr and spouse, Benny, Angela Millican and spouse, Chad, Steven Michaels Jr. and spouse, Terri, Jamie Michaels, Heather Caldwell; great-grandchildren, Chase and Jordan Lay, Max and Mitchell Michaels, Taylor Millican.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Perry Grayson and sister, Mozelle Carson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Temple Baptist Church, 701 Littlejohn St., Gastonia, NC 28052 or Gaston Hospice, P. O. Box 3984, Gas-tonia, NC 28054.

Miles & family, I'm so sorry for your loss of Jean, losing someone you love is hard, I'm Praying for your family, May God Bless you and keep you in His Care. God knew it was time to call her home. I love her for being the grandmother to my kids and a wonderful great grandmother to my grandkids. (Steve, I love you and always have, I'm sorry)
