Jenny Dishong Obituary
She was born in Gaston County on Sept. 15, 1958 to the late Henry Lee and Ola Dalphene Short Putman.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Jerry Charles Putman and a sister Janice Irene Wheeler
Jenny was a graduate of Hunter Huss High School and a graduate of Belmont Abby. She worked for Mr. Nobody's for over 5 years; and was a member of Bradley United Methodist Church
Survivors include her beloved son Dustin Gregory Dishong of the home; her brother Danny E Putman and wife Gloria of Belmont; and her sisters Jerita Huffman of Gastonia and Linda Putman Dilling and husband Don of Garner, N.C.; several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Monday, June 16 at 11 a.m. at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home with Rev. Debra Short officiating.
The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 a.m. prior to her service
Interment will be private.
Memorial may be made to Gaston Hospice, P.O. Box 3984, Gastonia, NC 28054.

Jenny was a fun loving lady with a huge heart and sense of humor. I used to get her in trouble at her PT job as a hostess as we could not quit talking and reminiscing of the good times we used to have. I had no idea she was sick and hate I did not get to see her or talk with her prior to her passing. Hugs and prayers to her son as I know he lost not only a great mother but his best friend.

Jenny was a sweet and precious lady. She will be missed. I remember her smile and laugh. We were close in high school but life has a way of sending us in different directions. My prayers and love to the family. May God be your comfort during this time. May his angels surround you all wing tip to wing tip and protect and comfort you all. She is at peace with God whole and pain free. If your are a follower of Christ you know you will see her again.

So sorry to see this. I haven't seen Jenny in awhile, but remember her well from school. We went from elementary thru high school together. She was a very sweet person. Again, my condolences.
