Jonathan White Obituary
He was born June 16, 1987, in Gastonia.
Wes attended Kings Mountain High School and the Art Institute of Charlotte.
He was a fan of NASCAR and loved the Atlanta Braves.
Wes was a huge movie buff; he was very proud of his "vast movie collection."
He also loved music and saw himself as quite "the entertainer."
Wes was a total optimist; he always saw the good in every person or situation.
He often defended anyone he felt was unfairly judged.
Wes loved God and his family; he will be greatly missed.
Wesley was preceded in death by his father, Tommy White Jr.; and his grandfather, William Podaras.
Left to cherish his memories are his mother and stepfather, Ruthy and Steve James; brother, Travis James; grandmothers, Bernice Podaras and Jeanette James; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A memorial service, officiated by the Rev. Paul Brintley, will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18, at Christian Fellowship Assembly.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christian Fellowship Assembly, 2352 Dallas Cherryville Hwy, Dallas, NC 28034.
Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.

I'm Lost for words. Unfortunately I lost touch with Wes a few years back and just found out what happened. He was a true friend, always had my back and a special place in my heart. No matter how long we may have went without talking we'd always pick right back up where we left off.

I remember Wes as this happy, sweet freckle face kid. He was such a sweet kid. I remember him and my son playing together in the nursery at church. Wes wasn't much older than my son. Broke my heart to hear we had lost him. My prayers are with everyone hurting, especially Ruthie. There are no words... He's with God now and we'll see him again.
