Lester Conner Obituary
Gastonia - Lester Conner, 71, passed away July 22, 2021 at his home. He was born April 26, 1950 in Jackson County, NC, son of the late George Conner and Mary Moore Conner Mathis.
Lester was a dedicated father, grandfather, and the loving husband of the late Trula Moore Conner, to whom he was married for 48 years. They were very much in love and had a wonderful life together.
Having retired, Lester was a long-time and respected beautician and interior designer. He was an active and faithful member of East Baptist Church.
Lester is survived by his son, Jason Le'George Conner of Gastonia; sister, Terry Conner McCaslin of Gastonia; brother, Barry Mathis (Vanessa) of Clover; grandsons, Dalton Conner (Makayla) of Concord and Preston Conner of Mt Holly.
In addition to his loving wife and parents, Lester was preceded in death by his stepfather, John Mathis.
A memorial service celebrating Lester's life will be held at East Baptist Church, Gastonia, NC on Thursday, August 5, 2021 at 7:00 pm, with Rev. Tim Parker officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

I just learned of Lester´s passing ,
I worked with him many years ago at Salon 224 .
I enjoyed that time so much , he was a great person to work with and very talented in many ways . Prayers for the family as you go thru this difficult time

My thoughts and prayers are with the family. As Lester´s cousin, I truly enjoyed the times we shared growing up. He was such a good guy and will be greatly missed.
