Linda Wehunt Obituary
She was born Sept. 6, 1950, in Gaston County to the late Paul and Vida Wright Linder.
Linda is survived by her son, Tommy Dover, of Kings Mountain; sister, Jane Linder Falls, of Greensboro; granddaughter, Jordan Dover, of Irmo, S.C.; niece, Leah Lyerly and husband Larry, of Greensboro.
Linda was a 1968 graduate of Bessemer City High School. She attended Western Carolina University and then studied dental assistance at CPCC. She worked at Paul Hendricks DDS for more than 30 years. Afterwards, she thoroughly enjoyed her nine-year position at Beltone Hearing Aid, Gastonia. Linda was an avid golfer for many years and an enthusiastic sports fan. She loved animals and nature, especially her dog "Hoover" and her deer and wild turkeys. She will be greatly missed.
A memorial service will be held for Ms. Wehunt at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, 2015, in the Sisk-Butler Chapel.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Interment will follow at Bessemer City Memorial Cemetery.
The family request memorials be made to Hospice or your local animal shelter.

Dear Jane: I didn't personally know your sister, Linda, but I can see that she was a beautiful person. It must be a family trait. I'm so sorry for your loss, and for your lasting friendship to me. I know your heart is broken, and I wish I could offer my heartfelt condolences in person.
